The disused land currently overtaken by bramble on the park side is 1.5 hectares. The entire Ten Acres site as it currently stands is 9.74 Hectares.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Woodland Conservation Area and a small patch on the Park side called Site 179 are SLINCS. Site 179 is the oldest section of Ten Acres (not interfered with by the river canalisation in the 70\u2019s at which point it was noted as an \u2019emerging woodland\u2019 with a variety of plant life no longer present today).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ten Acres Conservation is a community project developed and managed by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sustainablelifebirmingham.co.uk\">Sustainable Life Birmingham<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-large is-resized\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>We work in conjunction with the Friends of Rea Valley Stirchley (formerly Friends of Ten Acres) who look after the Ten acres area as a whole alongside the river rea route in to transform the derelict Ten Acres heritage woodland site, open up the space and make it safe for public use again. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Working in conjunction with the BOSF and Park Rangers this is a joint project with the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.reavalleystirchley.co.uk\">Friends of Rea Valley Stirchley<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This project has been funded by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.stwater.co.uk\/about-us\/severn-trent-community-fund\/\">Severn Trent Water<\/a>, without whom none of this would be possible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image
