Red soldier beetles are commonly found on open structured flowers such as Hogweed, cow parsley, daisies. Adults will feed on aphids, pollen and nectar while larvae feed on ground dwelling invertebrates such as slugs and snails and live at the base of long grasses. This means the long grasses and hogweed found in abundance along the rea in Ten Acres is a perfect breeding ground for the red soldier beetle.<\/p>\n<\/body>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
