New Woodland Project Launches – Fireside Food, Friendship & Fresh Air
We’re thrilled to announce a brand-new project funded by Selly Oak Neighbourhood Network Scheme (NNS) – and it’s all about connection, community, and the calming power of nature.

Starting soon, we’ll be offering 30 woodland sessions designed especially for adults who want to enjoy time outdoors, meet new people, and share good food and stories around the fire.
Each session will bring people together around a crackling fireside in the heart of the woods, where you can:
- Socialise in a relaxed, welcoming setting
- Engage with nature and the changing seasons
- Learn new outdoor and wellbeing skills
- Enjoy healthy, hearty meals cooked over an open fire
- Take part in peer-to-peer support and conversation
Whether you’re keen to get out of the house, meet new faces, or simply take a breather from the everyday, this project is for you. You’ll not only build your own connection with the natural world but also with the people around you.
These woodland gatherings are about more than just good food (though there’ll be plenty of that!) – they’re about creating space to unwind, reflect, and be part of something meaningful.
Relax with us every week, share memories old and new, and help build a stronger, more connected local community.
👉 Session dates will be announced very soon – so keep your eyes peeled!
We can’t wait to see you around the fire.
