The Rea Valley Volunteering group is completely volunteer lead. This group meets up once a month (on the corner of riverbrook and cartland) on the fourth Sunday of every Month between 2pm and 4pm, tackling some of the lighter tasks that don’t require expert supervision.
Tasks usually include but are not limited to:
- Litter picking
- Light bramble clearance (pre agreed with professionals)
- Conservation species logging
- Invasive species reporting
- Noticeboard management
- Security Walks
- Fallen trees, debris and other issue logging
- Tree Planting (pre agreed with professionals)
There’s always plenty to do along the River Rea and with 20 hectares to manage there’s always a task at hand to sort out. If you notice anything that needs doing along the River Rea green spaces do let us know at admin@reavalleystirchley.co.uk
