This Thursday marked our final Kids Summer Fun Day at Harvest Green — with only three more sessions left in our summer programme, the countdown is on!
We kicked off the morning with a focus on fire skills 🔥. The children worked through different levels of difficulty using a variety of materials, challenging themselves to go beyond their comfort zones. It was inspiring to see their persistence — every single child progressed at least one level by the end of the session!
After all that hard work, it was time to refuel. Lunch was a healthier snackbox special featuring juicy tomatoes, colourful mini bell peppers, a crisp apple, a raspberry Soreen loaf bar, and a banana & mango date bar — all washed down with a refreshing Fruit Shoot. 🍎🌶️🥭
The afternoon was all about problem-solving and creativity. First, the kids experimented with sticks to make different structures, testing ideas and learning through trial and error. They then took their new skills to the next level, using rope and tarps to build their very own shelters.
Before we knew it, the day had flown by — a sure sign of fun well spent! As the sun set on our last Thursday session here at Harvest Green, we left feeling proud, a little tired, and very excited for the final stretch of our summer adventures.
