A Productive Week at Harvest Green 🌿

This week, our dedicated team of volunteers were back at Harvest Green, rolling up their sleeves and getting stuck into some much-needed maintenance work. Armed with gloves, litter pickers, and plenty of determination, the group spent the day clearing bramble and collecting litter — and making a visible difference to this much-loved local green space.

Tackling Bramble and Litter

Bramble might look harmless at first glance, but left unmanaged it can quickly take over pathways, crowd out native plants, and make areas inaccessible for visitors and wildlife alike. Thanks to the steady efforts of our volunteers, large sections were carefully cut back, opening up the space and helping restore balance to the area.

Alongside the bramble clearing, there was — once again — plenty of litter to collect. Despite previous sessions and countless filled bags, there is still more to pick up. It’s a reminder of why this work matters so much. Every wrapper, bottle, and discarded item removed helps protect wildlife, improves the environment for everyone, and keeps Harvest Green looking the way it should — clean, safe, and welcoming.

A Huge Thank You to Our Volunteers

We want to say a heartfelt thank you to everyone who came along this week. Whether you stayed for the full session or joined us for an hour, your contribution made a real impact. Community action like this doesn’t just improve green spaces — it brings people together, builds pride in our area, and shows what can be achieved when we work as a team.

The atmosphere, as always, was positive and supportive. There’s something incredibly rewarding about stepping back at the end of a session and seeing the difference you’ve made together.

There’s Still Work to Do!

While we achieved a great deal this week, there’s still more litter to collect and more areas that would benefit from attention. The good news? The more hands we have, the more we can accomplish.

If you’ve been thinking about getting involved, this is your sign!
