Forest Futures
We ahven’t updated in while so here is a big gallery of what we’ve been up to! Lots of balsam bashing, path clearance as the brambles sneak back in, painting, leaf prints with wax, blackberry eating and plums!

Volunteers continued to restore the river bank last week and clear the built up deadwood and bramble from the riverside making room for young saplings, native trees and plants. Its starting to look really beautiful and they have created another little walk through of the wooded area upon the bank.
Forest Futures volunteers continued work on Ten Acres this week and along the overgrown banks near riverbrook meadow/broadmeadow they discovered a large old apple tree deep in the overgrowth, surrounded by beautiful lilac trees previously obscured and a few wild dog roses. The volunteers were back out there again this week working on the river bank and restoring the view. Its hard work with so much overgrowth and rubbish to fight through but they are getting there slowly but surely!
